“The road to failure is paved with good intentions.” -unknown
I have always had good intentions of keeping up with Brokedown Melodies. Too bad they haven’t ever manifested into real actions.
So, with a new album out and plenty of other artists to document and promote, I need help.
Consider this a job posting.
- The position doesn’t pay anything. Unless you can come up with a decent way of monetizing the site (without annoying the users with crappy ads and pop-ups) and then we’ll talk about percentages.
- I’d like someone familiar with WordPress (posting, admin, plugins) & web-publishing in general but you don’t have to be a PHP expert.
- Although I don’t have anything against kids, I’d be hard pressed to sign one up. I have high-standards for quality, spelling, grammar, etc.
- Somebody who has experience promoting positive communities is a plus.
- I’d like to see the community revived and the word spread. An ideal candidate would have some good ideas on making these things happen.
- The whole site needs a new face and upgraded back-end. I will do my best to be available to assist in both areas but a good eye for design would help you. Be warned, I’m picky.
So, let the applications begin.
Send me a note telling me why you’re interested, your vision for the site, your skills and something that would make me want to pick you over any other candidate.

It’s not that I don’t love you, it’s the fact that in the last 5 weeks I have been busier with work than I have been in years. That’s a good thing, for me. Not so much for you.
Quick notes to all who have contacted:
- The links to all of the 24 Days songs were set to expire after one month. Some day when I get the opportunity I will re-up them and send out new links.
- Thanks to the suggestions for new artists to add. I will listen to your stuff and then bring it before the committee. Just not today.
- There have been several tab requests, any help would be appreciated - Numbers by G. Love, Orange Whip Groove, Zach Ashton tabs are just some off the top of my head.
- Jack - Feel free to send in your version of Banana Pancakes and I’ll get it posted with the others. Thanks for the offer.
Anything else good worth discussing?

So close, I can hear the sleigh now. Hope you have enjoyed the tracks. I’ll find one more for tomorrow but can’t guarantee it will be good. Or I might just Rick-roll you instead. Guess you’ll have to check back to find out.
And to all those who celebrate holidays other than Christmas, Happy Holidays to you, I just don’t have any Hanukkah or Kwanzaa music to share.

Made it just in time to call this a day 21 song. As far as I know, this is an original by BDM user and Best Cover contest winner, Andrew Whitman.
Nice job Andrew, thanks for another great add to the Christmas playlist! Leave your comments for Andrew below.
