Many of you are aware that Muxtape was strong-armed out of its original business model by the RIAA more than a month ago. You can once again throw a big thank you towards big record labels for really having their finger on the pulse of what the audience wants. Sad.
Just today Muxtape dropped a little service to at least recall your playlist as of closing time, August 18. No songs are listed but your followers/followees are and it affords the opportunity to at least find the song or artist on your own that you caught onto from them.

Just FYI for the slow-to-catch-on Internet users, Muxtapes rock. Simple, elegant, and user friendly. Justin hit a home run with this idea and I hope it does well for him. He and his ‘developer’ are adding features regularly and I expect the site just to keep getting better.
Muxtapes are a great way to discover new music and also create the perfect opportunity of one-click to the song purchase at Amazon. The way it should be. In the last two months I have found lots of things that I probably wouldn’t have normally listened to but them being stuffed in with other songs that I might has opened me up to them.
Muxtape call. Every now and then I will post a few Muxtapes I have found to be pretty good. If you have a good one or know of a good one, throw it in the comments below. And since I am asking for yours, I’ll go ahead and post mine as well.
