Alien Casinos by Jack Johnson Tabbed by Brian Noy This is one great Jack song that doesn't get any attention. I've only found it on the JOAT CD so make sure you pick it up. It's a real easy song to play to with 3 chords and an easy rhythm to pick up on. It goes: A D G A e--5---10----5----8---3---5-- B--5---10----7----7---3---5-- G--6---11-or-7-or-7---4---6-- D--7---12----7----0---5---7-- A--7---12----5----0---5---7-- E--5---10----5--------3---5-- After the first verse there's a little lick something like this: e------------------ B------------------ G------------------ D------------------ A--------2-4-2---2- E--0-0-4-------4--- And then back into the A-D-G-A progression. At the end when he's singing one part he throws in an E major chord Now for the lyrics!! The risings been defeated By the pirates of the new age Alien casinos, well maybe it’s just time to say Things can go bad, little kids will run away But as they grow older, the trouble just seem to stay There’s a phosphorescent secret in the strings between the cans No prints can come from fingers, when machines become our hands And our feet become the wheels, and then our wheels become the cars And the rigs begin to drill until the drillings gone to…..far Things can go bad, and make you wanna run away But as we grow older, the fall line begins to fade…fade…fade
